Pune witnessed a battle of brilliance as Qurukshetra 2026, the flagship inter-school India quiz hosted by Pune Customs, lit up the Symbiosis Ishanaya Auditorium, Viman Nagar, on January 17. With nearly 260 students forming 85 spirited teams from 30 leading schools, the event stood out as one of the grandest quizzing spectacles the city has seen in recent times.
In a nail-biting finale, PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Range Hills Estate emerged victorious, represented by the talented trio of Antariksha Dutta, Kushan Guha, and Shruti Shukla. The Bishop’s Co-ed School (Undri) and Delhi Public School secured the first and second runner-up positions respectively.
According to a press release issued by Mr S. G. Gurung, Superintendent, GST & Customs Pune, sponsored by MNGL Pune, the quiz was conducted by renowned Quizmasters Shri Dinesh Bhoyar IRS, J. Ramanand, and BV Harish Kumar. The event was graced by Commissioner of Customs Shri D Anil as the chief guest. Covering a wide spectrum of topics –from history and science to sports, films, music, and food –the quiz kept participants and audiences engaged throughout.
Adding to the educational spirit of the day, a special talk was delivered highlighting the role of Customs officers, aimed at fostering awareness among students about their importance in national service.
The success of Qurukshetra 2026 reflects the growing enthusiasm for knowledge-based competitions among Pune’s youth and underscores the commitment of Pune Customs to nurturing intellectual curiosity.
